Cheval Fou

Cheval Fou was literally born on stage in 1971, formed within a few days by the Peteau’s brothers, Michel & Jean, both guitar players, and the drummer Stéphane Rossini. They were part of a community, headed by Parisian journalists and activists, influenced by the « revolution of 69 ». Cheval Fou became the official band of this freaks tribe called Le Pop, travelling around France in buses and vans for 4 years.
They made hundreds of unforgettable concerts, in farms, festivals, beaches and urban clubs, playing some strange and loud instrumentals. No key, no note, just colors and moods. On stage, along the years, Cheval Fou created an improvised psychedelic repertoire, and became part of the free pop / progressive scene of the early 70’s, along with Heldon, Magma, Can & Cluster …
50 years and a million projects later, Michel Peteau achieved this beautiful come back, with a new trio, and a new powerful album, full of lands, Indians, ancestors, dances, mistakes and miracles.
As usual, no format, just moods and colors.
And a precious device : playing large, free, and loud !
