Harking from the Bucky-filled basement venues of Brighton, the four have been described as "like The Kooks but not wet" and "like Sonic Youth but without the sex appeal". A drummer with menace in his eyes, a guitarist with noodles coming out of his strings, a bassist who bought a quiche in Reno just to watch it die, and a front-man who is a woman; the Chewers are proud to be not for profit, just for students.
