Working on their first EP release, Chickspit was established in 2015 and operates from the west side of "Australia" (Whadjuk Noongar to Wardandi Noongar countries). Taking inspiration from social injustice, their sound evolved as the years passed and lineups changed, but their message remaining the same - Fuck bigotry.
Drawing from influences like IDLES, Bikini Kill, G.L.O.S.S., and Alice Bag, Chickspit don't like pigeon-holing themselves into a genre, but consider themselves a branch of post-punk.
