Chieh Angel Huang’s multi-faceted career has distinguished her from the rest of the percussion scenes. Her continual desire and goal is the exploration of musical arts as a tool and as a means of communication between composer/performer and the audiences. Her expertise is working with various percussion instruments and manipulate its unique sounds into composition for film and commercial music.
Chieh received Master of Music degree from the Boston Conservatory in Massachusetts, USA. and was the third prize winner at 2009 PAS Italy International Marimba Competition. Mrs. Huang's music licensing is represented by Marmoset.
Chieh is pursuing her Ph.D. in Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology at the University of California, Irvine where she received a UC Irvine Diversity Recruitment Fellowship.
She lives in Southern California with her husband and two lovely sons.
