Chike Chabwera Kotzebue, better known by his stage name Chike Chabwera, is an artist and musician from the Netherlands.
Due to his surinamese roots Chike came in contact with multiple music styles at a very young age. Being the son of surinamese artist Romeo Kotzebue, who is a musician, poet and singer, Chike was inspired early on to explore his own musical talent. This resulted in him mastering the art of mixing the music styles Caribbean dancehall, Hip Hop, Reggae, Soul, Jazz, Funk and R&B into his his own sound.
In 2015 Chike founded record label Trisava Music under which he releases all of his music. As an independent artist Chike achieved to go viral on Spotify with his hit single Give Me a Kiss (Fergel Rise Remix) which debuted in 2015 on the international market.
Chike’s mission is to cross borders and offer the world a lot of new and original music. In 2020 Chike is set to collaborate with various international artists to create various sounds under the management of Trisava music. Chike’s latest release, No Time, is an international collaboration with the Caribbean artist Awaras, who is well-known for the 2009 hit single Sensimillia by Ponky Donch.
