Initially beginning as a writing project between Jack McDonnell and Adam Tracey, Child of Prague evolved into a six-piece, as members now include Amelia Durac, Rachel Baum, Noah ‘Fry’ Edwards and Miranda Gallacher. The band fuses chamber pop instrumentation along with a love of Irish traditional music, and pulls inspiration from folk, Irish trad, jazz, classical and math rock genres, as well as numerous artists that range from Lisa Hannigan to Chicago. Child of Prague thrives on collaboration; each player comes from a distinct musical background, allowing for the songs to evolve uniquely and combine strong guitar-led melodies with the mellow timbre of the violin and saxophone.
