Here’s exactly why, We want to redefine this term and give it a brand new meaning, we want to use the stereotype of Asians having small chinky eyes as a symbol, to remind our fellow asians to embrace our own skin color, be proud of our rich cultural background as Asians. Yeas we r fully aware of the history of how the term came by and we’ve been called by that countless times by ignorant people when we were living abroad but it doesn’t make any sense to us, how we let one word have so much power over us. It’s only derogatory when we let it be derogatory. Fuck anyone who tries to use this word to hold any power over us. We should be proud of our chinky eyes, we are beautiful.
