Chinthaka Jayakody

Chinthaka Jayakody is a well-known music composer. He started his career as a music director with stage dramas and TV commercials in 2005 and entered the film industry as a composer in 2017. He holds credits as one of the finest composers in the entertainment industry with his own unique style and distinguished methods of using music to create masterpieces. Chinthaka’s music are mostly influenced by the traditional folk music of Sri Lanka as well as of other countries.
He comes to known in mainstream industry with the movie “Ghara Sarapa” in 2017 and bagged two awards for Best Song Melody and Best Music Composer at the Signis awards. He composed music for the international award winning movie “Pangsu” in 2020 and was acclaimed for the music of movie “Thaala” in 2019. This young artist creates extraordinary music pieces by using his unique methods with traditional folk sounds to make those more relatable and realistic to the audience. His music career expands in Films, TV commercials, Teledramas and Stage Dramas for over a decade. He did create memorable art pieces for movies like “U-Turn” and the upcoming movie “Ekagei-Sokari” as well.
