Chip Houston
Chip Houston blends storytelling, heart, and hook-driven songwriting into a timeless sound.
He first picked up a guitar during college, taught a few chords by a dormmate, and quickly found himself writing songs and fronting a band. A first performance at a small campus coffeehouse lit a fire that never faded.
After moving to Athens, Georgia, Chip continued writing and playing, forming Straight Up Green and performing regularly at the legendary Eddie’s Attic — the same building where his great-grandmother once worked decades before.
Over the years, he’s performed at venues across Atlanta, appeared live on 99X, Dave FM, and Good Day Atlanta, and recorded three albums of original music with acclaimed producers Scott Patton (Sugarland) and Mitch Dane (Sputnik Studios).
Rooted in authenticity and crafted with care, Chip’s songs invite listeners into moments that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable.
