Raised in Innisfail, Far North Queensland, Chloe Marks was surrounded by music from a young age—drumming at five, playing guitar at eight, and singing for as long as she can remember.
She moved to Brisbane to study music and co-founded blues/rock band Scotch & Cider in 2013. A year later, while drumming for country artist Bridget O'Shannessy, she rekindled her love for country music. In 2015, Chloe released both Scotch & Cider’s debut EP and her own solo EP The Book of Secrets, which she wrote, co-produced, and performed on.
After a move to Sydney, marriage, and two kids, Chloe returned to Brisbane in 2020 and relaunched her solo career, becoming a regular in the local music scene. A prolific songwriter with over 400 songs, she’s known for her emotional storytelling and versatile performances.
In 2021, she formed Anti Music Music Club, a genre-bending trio known for their chaotic energy. Two years later, she founded Chloe Marks & The Mayhem, a gritty Americana-country band now making waves in Brisbane.
In 2025, they released singles “Carolina” and the deeply personal “Skip September.” Now performing full-time, Chloe continues to build her reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling voices in country and Americana music.
