Did you know that Chris Abelen is not just a jazz trombonist, but also a composer and bandleader? He was born on September 29, 1959, in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Abelen actually started his career by playing in the Willem Breuker Kollektief, but he decided to start his own bands after he left in 1988.
