Originally from the Seattle area, Chris Akers moved to Iowa in 2012 for a calling as a worship pastor. His faith in Christ has always found deep expression in song. He released a debut solo album in 2016 and has since released numerous recordings on his own and with his church, Christ Community Church. Several led to top-10 finishes in large competitions, and 2019's "Storm Strong" has over 400,000 streams on Spotify. His latest, "I See A Place," ushered his first foray into international songwriting, recorded in partnership with Glendale Church in Newbury. He loves writing for the church and will release his most personal effort, "When I Pray," in December this year.
