Chris Castro is a Texas-born singer-songwriter blending the grit of 90s rock and heavy metal with the storytelling soul of 70s country. Raised just 20 minutes from the Mexican border, music has been a part of his life since childhood, where he first honed his voice in church. Inspired by legends like David Allan Coe, Waylon Jennings, Pantera, Chris Stapleton, Phil Anselmo, and Chris Cornell, he carved his own path in the country music world. In 2020, he released a country album produced by Cody Jinks' bassist, Josh Thompson, recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch studios in El Paso. Now evolving into a country/alternative rock fusion, his music continues to push boundaries while staying true to his roots. With plans to eventually return to a more traditional country sound, his journey is one of authenticity, grit, and raw storytelling.
