Chris del Camino has a diverse pedigree in the music industry, providing his multi-instrumental talent to a back catalogue of work that cannot be denied. A founding member of HIRIE, he has toured with the outfit as their saxophonist and contributing producer and songwriter for nearly a decade.
Raised in San Diego, blessed with Mexican-American heritage, he was exposed to a wide range of musical cultures including Arabic, Turkish, Balkan, Mexican regional and roots music, Carribean/Jamaican, Jazz, funk and beyond.
In 2021 Chris released 3 tracks, ‘Brighter Day’, ‘4 Better or 4 Worse’, and ‘Either Way You Go’. The first critically acclaimed track was ‘Brighter Day’, a fusion of Cali reggae and lo-fi hiphop, alongside a tropical Spanglish lyrical flow. In early fall Chris released ‘4 Better or 4 Worse’, using sonic elements from his 8-bit background, blending with sonics from his time living in Turkey, he takes the listener on a journey of the heart both sonically and lyrically.
His up and coming track ‘Self Love’ is poised to become an anthem to those on the same journey of personal growth and connection, Chris del Camino paints a story that we can all relate to. — “I just want to put out music that can be both conscious, but also uplifting.
