Born in the border town of Laredo, Texas then transplanted to central Louisiana, Chris began playing in punk and metal bands at the turn of the new millennium. Carrying the DYI ethos from the punk community, he went solo beginning in 2003 and released a self-recorded acoustic EP called "Gather 'Round the Campfire". He then transferred colleges and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Experiences there were tumultuous at best, so he quickly moved back to Louisiana at the end of 2004. A silver lining from his short stint in Nashville was he returned with an album's worth of new songs, with multiple instrumental parts written for each song. In 2005 he released his first full length solo effort, "A Complete and Unabridged Documentary". This record featured over a dozen instruments, all of which Chris performed, recorded, and mixed himself. He released a follow up album under the same formula titled "Lights, Camera, Attraction" in 2006. Years of local and out of state shows and short tour runs followed, while Chris also joined up with local bands on bass guitar. These projects waned and he returned to his solo efforts, this time leaning toward a more folky, rootsy sound. In 2016 he released another full length, self-produced solo record, "Setting Sail for Stormy Seas". He now resides in Memphis, TN as of 2018 and is currently writing for yet another full length album.
