Having grown up in the 90’s, Chris Larsen pulls heavy musical influence from his love of old school hip-hop. Today, this translates into his sound where he picks apart and infuses his stripped back, funk driven style, grounded by fat basslines and vocal samples to develop an aesthetic that is easily recognizable and one he can call his own.
Emerging from Toronto’s raw underground scene in 2008, Chris quickly became a staple in the scene’s most notable venues. A constantly progressing and ever-eager student of his craft, Chris has a passion for the music he is playing and making. His discography includes records on on Green Velvet’s Cajual, Lee Foss’s Repopulate Mars, South of Saturn and North of Neptune, Riva Starr’s Snatch! and Brock Wild, Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic and Shiba San’s Basement Leak to name a few. More so, Chris has shared the decks with some of the most respected names in the industry and is consistently carving his signature imprint into dance floors all over the world.
