Chris Marlow

<a href="spotify:artist:2vraa5A1Z81F05GVnbNCOR" data-name="Chris Marlow">Chris Marlow</a>, “Marlow”, was born in Arkansas but at a young age he and his family moved to Texas. Growing up in Texas, he was heavily influenced by Texas rappers such as <a href="spotify:artist:0k7Xl1pqI3tu8sSEjo5oEg" data-name="Paul Wall">Paul Wall</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6vdMPayKk8YJxxeNP5oMCb" data-name="Chamillionaire">Chamillionaire</a> as well as other Southern rappers like <a href="spotify:artist:1G9G7WwrXka3Z1r7aIDjI7" data-name="Outkast">Outkast</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4OBJLual30L7gRl5UkeRcT" data-name="T.I.">T.I.</a>

“The first rap album I ever had was <a href="spotify:album:7q2B4M5EiBkqrlsNW8lB7N" data-name="2001">2001</a> by <a href="spotify:artist:6DPYiyq5kWVQS4RGwxzPC7" data-name="Dr. Dre">Dr. Dre</a> cuz I found it on the street.” This combined with songs like <a href="spotify:track:1ofhfV90EnYhEr7Un2fWiv" data-name="Changes">Changes</a> by <a href="spotify:artist:1ZwdS5xdxEREPySFridCfh" data-name="2Pac">2Pac</a> is what began the path to music.

Later in life, Marlow was introduced to artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:6UBA15slIuadJ8h2lPRPos" data-name="Tech N9ne">Tech N9ne</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1gPhS1zisyXr5dHTYZyiMe" data-name="Kevin Gates">Kevin Gates</a> which inevitably influenced his writing and style. “Not to mention all the other magnificent artists before me.”

After years of just creating music, Marlow began his first official LP self-titled <a href="spotify:album:5os78k8K8b6wNJsjPn4VKe" data-name="Marlow">Marlow</a>. Teaming up with <a href="spotify:artist:4KYqFqWMLhA9QtzAcrzHkk" data-name="I AM SUNNY">I AM SUNNY</a> on the production, Marlow wrote and recorded the album at Marloville Studio in roughly 8 months. Then released the album through his own label <a href="spotify:playlist:0wwL9tRhbSQz1HvXxA8611" data-name="Marlow Music">Marlow Music</a>.
