Chris Phillips studied piano and theory from a very young age with his father Kostas Filippeos. He also studied piano performance with James Anagnoson (Dean of The Glen Gould School) and music theory at Odeon School of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
Though classically trained, Chris began his recording career producing songs for Dance/EDM Artists Alexia, Kathy Phillips, Stevie B, Lil’ Suzy and Tito Puente Jr., all of which hit the Billboard Charts throughout the 90's and 2000's, receiving heavy radio play on dance radio stations throughout Canada and the U.S.
Chris produced 6 Gold and Platinum selling records in various genres including Dance/EDM, Health and Wellness, New Age and Children’s Music. His album “Dance Baby Dance” has sold over 600,000 copies. He also produced “Cardio Workout” selling over 100,000 copies and has produced 15 albums and DVD's with Celebrity fitness guru Richard Simmons.
Chris produced and co-wrote 10 songs with 2 time Academy* Award winner Al Kasha, over 20 albums and singles for best selling New Age pianists Jim Brickman which reached the #1 spot on the New/Age Billboard Charts from 2010 - 2019.
Most recently, Chris composed the music for the films Out, Jumper, The Pitch and the film documentary Melancholia, as well as a Coca Cola Commercial titled "Just One Bite”. In 2021 Chris composed the music for the animated series "Momo's Amerika" and the full length feature film Until The Wheels Come Off in 2022.
