Hailing from the 9th Ward in New Orleans, powerhouse singer, Chrishira Perrier, lives up to the reputation of one of the world’s great musical neighborhoods. With skills sharpened in the New Orleans gospel scene, her visceral lyrics, soulful voice, and commanding stage presence, combine to make her an unstoppable force in this new era of funk and soul music. Her upcoming single "A Day Like Today” is but a glimpse of the power and raw emotion that this unique artist is capable of, and draws influence from legends like Aretha Franklin, Allen Toussaint, and more modern influences including Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse. As a featured vocalist in his touring band, electro-soul ambassador, Griz, says she has a “voice sweeter than honey,” and Trombone Shorty calls her his “boss with the sauce,” she spent 3 years as a singer in his band. Eager to conquer the world as an artist in her own right, Chrishira has captivated audiences her entire life, from her early days singing alongside gospel legends, to lighting up festival stages and venues worldwide with major artists. In addition to her work with Griz and Trombone Shorty, she collaborated with NYC beat-king Gramatik, Waka Flocka Flame, and Montreal-producer Anomalie on Gramatik’s Requiem For Peace.
