Christian Floyd

CHRISTIAN FLOYD is a southern-born singer-songwriter on a journey whose current stop is Providence, RI. His wanderlust is also experienced in his music, which ranges from acoustic folk to alternative pop; from indie to modern rock; from adult alternative to electronica. This diversity is a far cry from where he began, playing lead guitar in thrash and speed metal bands. Then, later on Floyd found himself experimenting with instrumental jazz and new age fusion. But it wasn’t until he found his voice that his journey truly took shape. Now Christian Floyd heads up two projects—one as himself and one as his alter ego, THE WHISPER EFFECT, which delves deeper into experimental indie electronica. Both projects demonstrate Christian Floyd’s love of moody vibes mixed with catchy, pop sensibilities. These projects reveal a duality within Christian Floyd, as if he is happily caught between two worlds musically—a world of light and a world of darkness. As you dive deep into either of these ventures, which Floyd himself describes as “perfectly imperfect,” it is hoped that you will be transfixed by the charm of homespun music and the trajectory of an artist on an ever widening exploration.
