Pop provocateur Christian TV -- aka Christian Berishaj -- grew up in East Detroit, inspired by artists ranging from Prince and Phil Collins to Fiona Apple and Radiohead. In 2005, he formed the band Love Arcade, providing vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, production, graphic design, and videography for the group. The band signed to Atlantic Records and released an album, 2006’s Love Arcade, but by the end of 2008, Berishaj had gone solo and renamed himself Christian TV. He posted songs and videos such as “Naked” and “Drop Dead Gorgeous Jamie” online and also remixed singles such as Rihanna's “Rude Boy” and the xx's “Infinity.” Christian TV signed to Motown Records in early 2010 and released “When She Turns 18” a few months later, performing on the Fox network show So You Think You Can Dance to promote the single. His full-length album was expected later that year. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
