Christian Williams is a self-taught musician, experimental composer, and visual artist. His passion for expression has led him to dabble in a wide variety of music styles, ranging from dark acoustic folk music inspired by the American prairie to abstract sound art utilizing acoustic loops and field recordings.

His earliest recordings (2006-2009) are associated with a subset of contemporary Americana called “gothic country” because of their dark themes and tone. His second album, "Built with Bones," was named the most essential gothic country album of all-time by the music blog Swedish Embassy of Gothic Country in March 2015.

In 2012, Williams shifted gears and began making experimental music utilizing field recordings and acoustic loops, releasing six albums through Creative Commons licensing. His album "Lawrence, Kansas" was named one of the highlights of Creative Commons music released in 2014 by UK-based netlabel Pilot Eleven, and his album "Providence" was added to the catalog of Japanese netlabel Bump Foot in January 2015.

In 2017, Williams returned to his folk roots and released a seven-song EP called "Marconi" that he recorded on an iPhone in his home studio. That album is available through his website at www.christianwwilliams.com, which also serves an online gallery of his visual art.

Williams currently resides in Coventry, CT, with his wife and three cats named Maurice, Nermal, and Dinah.
