Raised in the Bernese Oberland, Christina Zurbrügg moved to Vienna after a longer stay in South America. Here she studied acting and classical singing and quickly made a name for herself with her music theatre productions about the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. She is also involved in folk music and made the documentary "Orvuse On Oanwe" about Vienna's last “Dudlerinnen” (Viennese Yodelers), followed by her award-winning solo programme "Christl's Wunderwelt".
Christina Zurbrügg can look back on thirteen music albums so far. The film "Bleiben oder Gehen" by zurbrügg & hudecek was awarded the "Golden Dragon", her song album "jetzt" is reviewed as a first-class pop musical work between tradition and modernity and the film "Halbzeit" was nominated for the "Golden Rose" 2009.
Now the benefit CD "Me and You for SABABU" with new salon yodels from the ʻWiener-Klangsalonʼ will be released.
