I wrote this song as a result of experiencing the first love. I always knew God existed, but I was afraid that if I got saved, and changed, my friends wouldn’t want to be around me anymore. My whole identity revolved around partying, and being worldly. I was concerned that I would no longer fit in to society. On the flip side, sin had piled up in my life, and I hated who I had become. When I found out that God could set me free, and give me a new life, I decided to take the leap of faith and accept Jesus as my Lord and savior. One night in my room, I was worshipping God, and I received the first love and was baptized in the Spirit. It didn’t take me long, to realize that I was wrong, I wasn’t losing anything, but I had gained everything through Jesus Christ.
