Coming out of Birmingham, England, Chris first found a love for rap music through a trip to New York at age 13. There in his own words he experienced, 'a vibrancy I'd never seen in such concentration before. The vibe was hip hop and seeing the colours and joy in beats and lyricism gave me a buzz like I'd never known'.
After coming home infected with the hip hop bug he began writing. These were formative years for Chris, and as the years went by, he also began to be heavily influenced by West coast rap, and found a kinship in artists from his own shores who documented 'what was going on in the island, yet had flow'.
Bringing a new bite and reality to the game that is also reminiscent of the old school, Chriz is a man on a mission. 'Rappers like Stormzy, Dave and Little Simz seem to be setting the tone in the UK with flow, heart and substance. It's time for me to also bring the medicine'.
