C H U G A I is a talented multi-genre performer, originally from the beautiful country of Ukraine, in particular Donetsk. Born on June 27, 1991, under the name Lucy Chugai, she started studying music as a child, playing the piano and violin as well as singing in a children's choir. Her native language is Russian, but she is also fluent in French and English.
In 2012 she moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where her professional music career began. She entered the Prague Conservatory, immediately winning the Grand Prix at the Karlovy Vary Festival. But her academic life was not enough for her, and due to her freedom-loving nature and individual musical vision, she organized her own band, "Shocking Stops", with which she quickly conquered the Prague live music scene.
At the same time, she met producer Gregory Darling, beginning a long-term friendship and collaboration. In 2020, they entered into an agreement to create an EP. The first single, "The Blue in You", is slated for release in May 2021.
* In addition, Lucy is a big fan of jazz music, from where she takes a lot of inspiration. In parallel with her main concert activity, she also performs on the jazz stage with her Lucy Chugai Quartet.
