Based in Quebec City, Chyenex is the product of three friends sharing their love for music and pop-punk. The two founding members Gabriel Bleney (Vocals, Guitar) and Kevin Hébert (Bass) started to create music together and wanted to experiment French punk-rock at first. It’s in 2021, when Claudia Lizotte joined the band as the drummer, that the name “Chyenex” made perfect sense and things started to get serious. They decided to go further by adding English lyrics to their French roots, which made them write in both languages. Their individuals influences for pop-punk and punk-rock inspire them classic and modern airs that blends together.
