Cicada Theory, first formed in 2020, is an alternative rock project with roots based in Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, and Leesburg, VA. Cicada Theory’s sound has elements of grunge and indie rock, focusing on angsty guitar riffs but also strong melodies. Delivering powerful, emotive vocals and elusive yet potent lyrics, the band strives to create a unique sound while also paying tribute to the prior voices of the 1990s.
