Cidcity

CidCity is a Canadian, genre-bending, singer-songwriter based in Vancouver, BC. He blends indie-rock with pop, soul, funk and psychedelic influences. Creating a sound akin to artists such as (Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, The Killers and The War On Drugs).

Originally from the small, snowy, mountain town of Revelstoke, CidCity previously released music under his own name (Jez Bonham). Growing up with an Italian opera singer for a grandfather and a folk singer for a father exposed Jez to music early on. He continues to follow in their footsteps and give the family gift of music away to the world. Music runs in his blood.

CidCity was born out of something new. Introducing different musical influences with each new release, keeping the music fresh and unique. CidCity has become known for his electric live performances and high energy shows around the Vancouver region.

His latest single (Chocolate Cake), will be released on July 7th, 2023. It will follow up previous stand out singles (<a href="spotify:album:2eodsl9FwQl06676oQCkIS" data-name="Lulu">Lulu</a>) a driving, indie-rock driven song and (<a href="spotify:album:2Bbm2atjB9xxm2oywfA2ao" data-name="Stalker">Stalker</a>) a soulful, laidback tune.

(Chocolate Cake) is a perfect blend of funk heavy, sultry bass riffs, gnarly distorted rock tones and soulful melodies. It&#39;s about falling in love with someone you wish you hadn’t, someone you know you shouldn’t have. No matter how many times you swear it off, it always leaves you wanting more... like that extra piece of chocolate cake.
