Though originally from Maine, Gibson-sponsored artist Ciera MacKenzie started her musical journey in Oklahoma under the watchful eye of Toby Keith at age 12. After successfully opening for Big & Rich at Ft. Sill, Toby invited Ciera to perform regularly at his OK Kids Korral, fundraisers, and his Hollywood Corner venue, giving her early, valuable live performance experience and priceless mentorship that laid a strong foundation for her songwriting style and musical work ethic. Ciera moved to Nashville in 2017, quickly becoming a regular in the music community and started Berklee College of Music online in 2020. After COVID, Ciera migrated to Boston to attend Berklee in person, graduating in May 2025 with a BA in Music Performance (guitar) and Business, while also building a strong following throughout New England with her unique blend of country, pop, rock, jazz, and blues. Ciera has recorded with producers such as Ken Caillat, Kenneth “KP” Paige, John Alagia, KoKo, Greg Archilla, Ken Royster, Toby Wright, and David Kalmusky. Ciera has had song placements with Showtime, Netflix, and Hallmark, and has opened for Big & Rich, Trick Pony, Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, and Mark Chesnutt, and the Fed Ex opening at the Minneapolis Super Bowl. Come see Ciera on May 16th at The Franklin Theatre and at the Whiskey a Go Go on May 12th with Struggle Jennings.
