City Awake

City Awake is a four piece rock/alternative rock band with members: Justin Tackett (guitar, vocals) Shawn Caudill (guitar) Nicholas Tirlea (bass) and Ian Dozer (drums).

City Awake's hit single 'Black Thread' was featured, in entirety, on the TWITCH show (via Danny Wimmer Presents) in 2021. Additionally, City Awake was nominated for band of year,song of the year (Black Thread), and bass player of the year in Kentucky for 2021.

Formed in 2018, City Awake's music is a blend of hard rock and alternative rock encompassed by a classic rock overlay and modern music principles. Within this rock & roll pallete you'll find slick guitar solos, heavy driving rhythms, and mellow atmospherics as City Awake strives to bring the many diverse soundscapes of rock & roll music to the forefront of every listeners' mind.

With influences like Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, and Thrice; the members of City Awake bring many unique inspirations when composing new material. This is also made apparent considering they have opened for bands like Buckcherry, Bad Wolves, Red Sun Rising, John Corabi, Plush, and Kip Winger.
