ON WHY:


Julian Smith: “We have large ambition in our work - it shows in everything that we do - from our multi-tracked vocals, our heavily layered synth work, and even through to the size of our production and sound…we like working hard, and we enjoy pushing each other to become better at our craft. We aim very high…and we both think everyone should always aim high. Neither of us do things by halves.”


Scyia: “Since we started working together in 2020, the size and expanse of this project became immediately clear in terms of what we could do. We both have many musical directions that we consistently explore inside this project - it’s very open because it can afford to be. If we feel like we want to explore dark EDM, we do, and we can really make it work. We can also make semi-traditional music that’s deeply informed by the classical and romantic periods inside this space. It feels limitless.”
