Claire Hamill is a pioneering British singer-songwriter whose career has spanned over five decades, blending folk, rock, ambient, and new wave. She released her debut album One House Left Standing in 1971 at just 17, going on to tour with artists such as John Martyn, Procol Harum, Jethro Tull, and King Crimson. Over the years she has collaborated widely, contributing vocals to Steve Howe, Jon and Vangelis, Morrissey-Mullen, and Wishbone Ash, while also releasing a string of acclaimed solo albums including the groundbreaking Voices (1986). Her song “You Take My Breath Away” was later covered by Eva Cassidy, bringing Claire’s music to a global audience.
Far from slowing down, Claire continues to create and perform. Recent albums such as Over Dark Apples (2019), A Pocket Full of Love Songs (2022), and Troubadour (2025) showcase her enduring creativity and adventurous spirit.
