After a few shows in Switzerland Claire participated in the renowned music festival Zermatt Unplugged in the spring of 2024. Following a tiny show at a hotel lobby in Zermatt, the acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Ben Howard discovered her music and invited Claire to support him on his Scandinavian Tour all over Europe. Following the release of her double-single ‘Fight Back/25’ in the summer of 2024 she’s now preparing for her upcoming debut EP that will be released in March of 2025.
She says she didn’t set out to make an EP —that she was just ‘living my life and writing songs.’ And like all things in life, it sort of just happened. The same way humans occasionally fall into each other, spin time into something beautiful and then break eventually, unexpectedly.
These four songs were written in the aftermath, while picking up the pieces. Once she realized she had something, Claire called on a bunch of her gorgeous friends and recorded the whole damn thing live. Raw and vulnerable, like a sunburn. Soothing, like aloe vera squeezed straight from a fleshy leaf, applied by gentle hands. That’s what this music feels like <3
