Pete Skinner aka Clansfolk

Pete was born in 1951 and brought up in a house of music, so it was no surprise that he started playing and singing at an early age.. and never stopped! Introduced to Folk, Skiffle and Rock n Roll in the 50's then Bluegrass and Pop in the 60's, an eclectic influence of musical styles that has led to an open attitude towards music without boxes.

Pete is a multi instrumentalist (ranging from the obscure stringed to free reed), and always at the front of the queue taking advantage of modern electronics eg autotune Guitars, MDI drivers like the Artiphon and of course his Roland Squeeze Boxes, this provides an arsenal of music making devices to inspire.

His collection of Carbon Fibre Instruments (Hand Made in Ireland by Alistair Hay the man behind Emerald Guitars) include: Synergy Harp Uke and Guitar, Amicus and Amicum (12 string unison tuned guitars short and standard scale), X30 Limited (the colour changer), X20 Six String standard and X7 Travel Mate an ongoing collection of beautiful Instruments with all the pleasure and inspiration they deliver.

Pete (Clansfolk) is now approaching 60years of playing and singing, supporting his pet phrase:-
