Clara Hannigan

Clara is an singer-songwriter based in New York City.


Originally from Maine, Clara grew up in a musical household and was singing, playing piano and performing by age 10. Ever since she could remember, jazz and piano legends such as James Booker, Ray Charles, and Fats Waller have been playing in the background. As she got older, she was inspired by singers such as Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, Billie Holiday, SZA, and Janis Joplin.


When Clara moved to NYC four years ago, she decided she would pursue music and spent all her free time writing and honing her craft. She is fascinated with the aspect of intentionality being incorporated into each project she does. She started incorporating more feeling and rawness in her style and firmly believes that music is a tool of authenticity and connects our shared experiences. She proudly explores different genres as she believes artists should never feel limited to one genre when expressing themselves.


In those four years, Clara has released five singles, performed in numerous venues in and out of NYC, and is preparing to release her first music video for her latest single "Parentheses".
