Clara

An emotive songwriter influenced by the new wave of pop and alternative music. Clara initially gained some spotlight after her single “WATER” was released. However her independent breakthrough started around 2020 when her song “Família” came out.


Clara Duailibi Selingardi was born on June 26, 1997, with American and Middle Eastern roots, into a musical household — her mother sang, taught music and vocal lessons, her father was an amazing guitar player, both into Jazz and Bossa Nova, Clara grew up listening to Jazz, Pop, Bossa Nova, Alternative Pop. Clara ended up being influenced by acts such as Marisa Monte, Gracie Abrams, Aurora and Chico Buarque.


Clara developed ambitions to be a professional musician at an early age. When she was 14 she appeared on the TV competition “Rising Star” wining her first appearance and going through the Final earning third place.


After studying Jazz at Hot Club Lisbon, and Music Creation and Development she started working on her own songs with more depth, as she has been songwriting since she was 6 years old.
In the midst of 2020 she got a Songwriting contract with Great Dane Studios, one of the most prestigious production,management studios in Lisbon who’s CEO is Mikkel Solnado.


Since she joined the team of producers and songwriters Clara got the chance to write for national artist such as Elisa Silva, Elisa Rodrigues and joined international songwriting pitches (sessions) for artist such as Bebe Rexha and Nelly Furtado.
