As a musician and producer, Clarence Öfwerman is one of Sweden’s most successful music personalities – and the first Scandinavian to produce four US #1 singles. In 1986 he started a fruitful collaboration with fellow Swedes Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, who had just teamed up as Roxette. Clarence became their producer and keyboardist, helping them to craft hook-laden songs like “The Look”, “Dressed
For Success”, “Listen To Your Heart”, “It Must Have Been Love” and “Joyride” into studio masterpieces, elevating Roxette to an international pop phenomenon along the way. Roxette toured extensively all over the world between 1989 and 2016, playing for millions of fans and recording albums up until Marie Fredriksson’s health put an end to her career with “Good Karma” in 2016. Since then Clarence has devoted much of his time into producing his own music in the shape of instrumental piano pieces like “Summer Waltz”, “Forever Morning” and
“April”, again reaching millions of listeners all over the world with his subtle melodies and gentle musical touch.
