Clarissa Peress

Raised in the desert of Tucson, Arizona to a musical mama I have been writing since I could spell. Poems and songs felt magical because I thought 'spelling' meant that words were magical when combined- like alchemy. (I still think they are)

At 18 I moved to Eugene, Oregon where I was enveloped into a town full of magical musicians and towering talking trees. I worked on an apple orchard for a few years and spent my Saturdays selling fruit at the market and busking with the local street musicians. The album Truly Human Being was created in Eugene with the help of the brilliant composer and guitar educator Don Latarski. He is on spotify as well and has a remarkable catalog of music. He is currently helping me produce my second album as well as new works of his own.

My dream in life consists of writing and playing tunes, original children's music, working in education and spreading awareness about the power of music and regenerative agriculture.....and eventually opening up a summer camp/music therapy/art/community center.
