Clark Kissick is a singer/songwriter from Owingsville, Kentucky. He sings with an “old soul” baritone voice, much older than his age. Clark’s style of music covers many genres and might best be described as Bluesy Country/Americana.
As a musician, to get to this point it involves many turns. In 2012, Clark performed his first show and in 2013, he was a quarterback for Coach Mark Stoops at the University of Kentucky, his tenure at UK was only one year. As Clark says, “I made every practice and every party but not many classes.”
After leaving school and spending a few years working on a rock blasting crew, he joined up with his old high school buddies forming the band Denim James. They played for two years at festivals, bars, and venues as opening acts, until the pandemic caused the band to split ways. He then began his solo career that he continues today.
His following continues to grow locally, in November of 2021, His first EP “Storyteller” was released. He sold out “The Venue” in Morehead, Kentucky the night of the EP release. He opened the following week for Chris Knight in Louisville, Kentucky. He has also played other various shows across Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
He released a bluegrass project in July 2023 named “EXIT 123” recorded at the Salt Mine in Salt Lick, KY. The project features multiple Grammy instrumentalist including Randy Kohrs, Clay Hess, Adam Haynes, Jason Hale, and more. Exit 123 is available for streaming now!
