A lifelong passion about music... and writing songs
I’ve always found joy in writing lyrics and music. For me, the lyrics usually come first. I guess it’s because, first of all, there is something I want to say. Something I reflect upon and want to share. Or a compelling story I want to tell, based on meetings with all kinds of people, own experiences or just pure imagination. Often, it’s a blend of everything.
Although, I’ve played the guitar since my teens, I am by no means a virtuoso. But my picking is quite proficient and my strumming right on the beat. I truly enjoy sitting down with a guitar and craft songs, or just play my favorite music.
Until recently, most of my lyrics never got any further than to my drawer. A song-writing workshop in Nashville, led by Mary Gauthier, in 2017 (see image gallery), changed things. It encouraged me, not only to keep on writing, but also to record stuff. With the help of a professional producer and some of Sweden´s best musicians. My music is now available on most digital platforms.
