Clever Violet

Clever Violet is a 5-piece "Loud AF" grunge band hailing mainly from Salina, KS. Influenced by a wide range of artists from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, to Death Grips, Deftones, to Blue October, and many more. CV was born out of nostalgic boredom in the summer of 2024. Originally started by Robert and Ikky as a 2-piece studio project, the small band quickly became more than what was dreamed of within a year. Joined by Jeremy, (Krunkle) Eddy, and JD (Marcus the Worm), CV has quickly become a local powerhouse of music. Comprised of a combined 50+ years of experience between all members, each coming from their own old musical projects, you could almost call them a local supergroup of sorts. The band has been together since May of 2025 and performed their debut set at the 2nd Sunflower Rising Festival at Pete's Puddle shortly after in June. Since then, they've played many shows in Wichita, Manhattan, and Salina (even getting shut down by the cops during their Halloween Bash house show because most of Salina could hear them), and plan to play many more. They've gained over 1k followers on Facebook (and a couple hundred more on Instagram + Tiktok), all before releasing any studio tracks. They've even featured on the Music of America podcast, where they provided listeners with a first look at their debut single, called "Stop," before its release.
