Clifton Confident

Born in the Jazz capital, New Orleans, to Caribbean parents, Clifton Confident was always surrounded by various styles of music. It seems, then, not surprising that he has composed a song in almost every genre. The instrumental music that he presents to us is mostly a soothing and melodious mix of Caribbean vibes with Latin Jazz. The birth of Hip-Hop and R&B has also influenced this singer/songwriter/producer. He, under Confidentshall Productions, collaborates with his brother, Leo, to produce smooth R&B/Neo Soul tracks, as well as hype Hip-Hop beats – often laced with some Latin or jazz flavor, and dabbling with other styles, as well. Being in medical field offers little time for big time production as a solo artist, so he wants to focus more on being a songwriter/producer - along with Leo. The lyrics of his songs are palatable by all audiences, and are usually about experiences people can relate to. From the “Anxiety” of the first phone call to the pain of having to “Say Goodbye,” and trying to get through “Just Another Day,” Clif’s songs are considered by many to be relaxing, comforting, uplifting, and sometimes entertaining. Many of his fans have been impressed with the maturity of his music. He has been doing more instrumentals than vocals recently - but still looking to collaborate with singers, songwriters to create more!
