Clifton Williamson Jr. known as Clipreel, who was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. At five years old, his parents moved out of Sherbrooke Apartments and moved into the neighborhood known as Camelot. In his childhood, Clifton started playing football. At the collegiate level, he played at North Carolina Wesleyan College Battling Bishops (NCWC), an NCAA Division III collegiate football team.
The growth he embodies exemplifies resilience and grit to be a master of himself first. His skills and qualities come from the help of his family. Clipreel is not a self-made artist. His brother provided guidance in the early years of his songwriting and producing career. His cousins and brother came together occasionally to make beats during family gatherings. They would have spur of the moment beat sessions and produce beats on the Motif or PS1 Music Generator. It seemed mundane to Clipreel because he was young, inexperienced, and didn’t understand the process of producing music.
During his teenage years, he began writing poetry and creative writing. His practice of writing poetry and creative writing led to writing lyrics to his brother's beats. Next, a couple of friends in the neighborhood put him in front of a microphone, and then Clipreel's faith and knowledge paved a way through graceful humbling times. Clipreel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Theatre Arts from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.
