Originating from the western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Closer To Nowhere uses strong hard rock rhythm and subtle psychedelic guitar to blend alternative rock melodies with blues progressions. Formed in 2016, Closer To Nowhere features lead vocalist and bassist Lily Riggs, guitarist and vocalist Naomi Thorpe and drummer Jaynae Suric-Manna. Their first EP, Nuns Don't Wear Denim, features songs such as Mission Failure and Purgatory that relate to topical issues that a modern audience can relate to. The EP was recorded by Reuben Cumming, and mixed and mastered by Mike Miller.
