Closing Eyes are inspired by everything from classic indie, 60s pop and jam bands. They’ve released two albums on Eget Selskap, Soft Years in 2018 and Eternal Fidelity in 2020. Both saw some very favorable reviews from the Norwegian press.
After releasing Eternal Fidelity at the peak of the pandemic they were left clueless were to go next. Then they started to jam. The idea was to record everything live, discard all backing tracks and most of the overdubs and studio trickery. Just to see what would happen. This new approach paved an interesting new direction for the band. They’ve signed with Sheep Chase records and their third effort, Searching For Shangri-La will be out shortly. All the new material was recorded live at Studio Paradiso with Markus Forsgren from The Lionheart Brothers and Jaga Jazzist.
