Cloudburster are an indie rock band from Ballarat, Victoria, made up of songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Jack Bray alongside bassist and keyboardist Callum McBride. The two first met in high school and bonded over their shared love of bands like <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2DaxqgrOhkeH0fpeiQq2f4" data-name="Oasis">Oasis</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1lYT0A0LV5DUfxr6doRP3d" data-name="The Stone Roses">The Stone Roses</a>, eventually deciding to start writing music together.
In 2025, they put out their first single “<a href="spotify:track:7hGyNOHAjb3eBRw9VwQ22G" data-name="Wasted Days">Wasted Days</a>”, followed not long after by “<a href="spotify:track:0N4SHiA65S5xaYFaLkgwvk" data-name="Things Weren't The Same">Things Weren't The Same</a>.” In August that year, they released their debut EP “<a href="spotify:album:4CxXAkYBpLQAtvvs2lRGjM" data-name="So Here We Are">So Here We Are</a>”, which brought together the songs they had been working on since forming the band.
Cloudburster are still at the beginning of their journey, but with their mix of jangly guitars, driving rhythms and honest lyrics, Jack and Callum are excited to keep building, writing, and sharing their music with whoever wants to listen.
