Clujit

Clujit began to coalesce at the beginning of 2019. David, John and Craig had previously played together in a variety of different bands but came together to find their music. Sessions often took the form of long, improvised jams. Whilst extended instrumental passages remain a key part of Clujit's writing process and their live performance, the intention was always to hang these around songs. So, the trio auditioned for vocalists and in April 2019, Peter Baldock-Williams completed the Clujit line-up.


Gigs followed, and later in the year the band made plans to head to the studio. Recording on the "Coronation" EP began at the start of 2020 and the final studio session was completed on 1st March. Two weeks later, the UK went into lockdown over Covid-19. This added logistical complications to the mixing and mastering process but the slow, heavy atmosphere of early-lockdown also seems an appropriate vibe and backdrop for this final part of the project.


"Coronation" was released on 14th August 2020. Suffusing old-school heavy with latter-day stoner/psych, Clujit are your imaginary friend.
