From public house jam sessions to high mountain sing-alongs, these songs celebrate change and growth, love and loss, sobriety and intoxication.
ClusterF*lk brings a wide open blend of indie road rock and bitingly honest folk lyrics backed by some bedrock blues rock- with pit stops for some punk and cosmic country along the way.
When good friends Dave Monro (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Keith Johnson (drums) met Matt Gantz (electric guitar) on their way to a backcountry mountaintop, they invited him back to camp to drink whiskey and celebrate the summit. It was clear from the silly songs strummed under the moonlight that musical chemistry was in abundance, but it wasn't until the group met Daniel Manuszak (bass/vocals/acoustic guitar) on their final visit to the last best true Irish pub in Portland, OR (RIP Biddy's, we miss you) that ClusterF*lk was born.
During the pandemic, Clusterf*lk made the shift to writing original music that speaks to transitions and a life fully lived. They began playing local shows in 2022 and got the opportunity to record the One Week Notice EP in early spring of 2023. The debut EP, mixed and mastered by Alex Babcock, showcases the sounds and styles they tap into- all in the service of discovering the best way to convey the emotion of the song.
From the cathartic title track, to the wry winking humor of Broke Down and Restless, the EP offers a rounded introduction to the band and a glimpse of the music to come,
