In late 2008, a common love for alcohol and video games took a turn for the epic when Johnny Danger (lead vocals and guitar), Psyence Fyktion (guitar), Sludge (bass) and The Collapse of Uncertainty (drums) realised the power of their combined musical might, and set forth on a musical adventure, in the name of the Gods of Metal.
In June 2015, the four launched their debut, full length album, “Four Horsemen Riding in the Sky (Behind Got Sun)”, engaging the services of longtime friend and drinking buddy, The Leidenfrost Effect (guitar), as a third guitarist, fully realising their collective dream of three part guitar harmonies. Alas, it was not to last, for at the end of 2018, Sludge was forced to step back from frontline duties after suffering a stroke. Once again, the Gods gave as they took away, with Pandora’s Box of Paradox (bass) taking on the Mantle of Bass, ensuring that Cockpit continues to ride, bringing the message of Rock and Metal to the people of the world.
Embracing the sound and look of 80s hard rock and metal bands with a dash of 90s geek culture and a large wink, Cockpit pride themselves in presenting bone-crushing riffs and face-melting, harmonised guitar solos in a family-friendly and light hearted manner. With a full-length album under their belt, the boys (and girl) stand poised to bring the thunder and mayhem of Rock and Metal back to the fore.
Leave their live shows with a smile on your face, even though your ears will be ringing for days.
